We are currently redesigning LCRN's website and advising them on future use of technologies for them and organisations in their network. This project has lots of potential to support the community recycling movement in London and beyond, so we are very excited to working on it.

May 2005, we attended a 5 days training course "From Gandhi to Modern Social and Political Movements: Preparing for Nonviolent Actions in Practice" (trainer - Jorgen Johansen). The programme took place in Cluj-Napoca Romania.

Sam The Wheel: £50,000 HLF grant

Sam The Wheel, a project we have been developing with www.mutinyarts.co.uk, has just been granted £50,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund. We have been working with Mutiny to secure this fund for the past couple of years, so this is very good news indeed!

Sam The Wheels

We are working with working with Mutiny Arts and the 198 Gallery to produce this participatory video and web project, which explores the heritage of Brixton, inspired by unique film footage of Brixton shot between the 1960's and 1980's by Clovis Salmon, a first generation Jamaican immigrant who arrived in London in 1950.

The project has recently received funding of £50,000 from The Heritage Lottery Fund.

A collaboration between The Anthill Social, Space Studios and Queen Mary University London.

www.performingrightslibrary.org The performing rights library invites online contributions, networks international communities, creates space for dialogue and enables the transmission and documentation of human rights and performance.

It looks at the significance of human rights in times of war and globalisation, makes links between international and local communities and investigates performance practices that will facilitate human rights work.

Drupal video module

DESCRIPTION
We've created a video upload module for Drupal (www.drupal.org) which allows users to upload any format of compressed video, which is then converted to flash and freely hosted by www.blip.tv

This process happens invisibly in the background - the user gets to use an incredibly simple upload form and automatically their video is displayed within their website utilising a video format that ensures the maximum number of people can view their content.

STATUS
Currently, this module is working on a drupal 4.7 site www.billboardproject.co.uk
